This site is a tribute to Ellen Haestier.
Much loved with her infectious smile, warm heart and naughty twinkle in her eye. Friends and laughter were never far away, nor mischief. She loved travel, adventure, disappearing into a good book and wanted to rescue every donkey on the planet.
Sadly missed, but in our hearts forever.
St Barnabas Hospice:
The 'Barnabas Gang', as they become known at Casa Haestier, looked after Ellen at home for a long time. They provided everything from medication to helping her shower, right through to Tai Chi which she adored. Mind, body and soul.
Ellen loved the ladies who visited and during her last days, they were simply incredible. I'm not sure Dad or I would have coped without them. Particular thanks to Becky and Jane. If anyone doubts that there are Angels on earth, look no further.

Talking of Angels...
A special mention to Jaqueline and Essy for your love, care, dedication, support, and most of all, the dignity you enabled Mum to have in her last days. Like the Barnabas Gang, you became part of the family - we are eternally grateful.
Sending our love to Pete and Ernie, from The Bints. Xx
To my sweet friend Ellen, I'm so glad that a job gave me the opportunity to meet you and Ernie. You became a very good friend I loved go to your house every week and had our chats. I'm missing you.
Sending love to Pete and Ernie and a huge thanks to those wonderful carers whose day to day help more than they know.
